Guild Motto

May The Moon Shine Forever And The Dragon Never Die!!!

Our Purpose

Our Original Goal back in the days of NeverWinter Nights, We were to avenge the Curse of the Lord Avatar's banishing in the Abyss by Lord Nasher's Ancestor by killing Lord Nasher himself. Unfortunately, our purpose was so close to achieving at the time, the game was almost at an end. Since we have ventured out into more than one game now, we have now a much broader view on life. We have now one purpose in our lives, it is to CONQUER ALL and destroy such needs on our paths to gain this goal. Though we are a Lawful Neutral Guild, we don't sit around watching the forces of good and Evil fight, we may participate in this conflict in order to further our goal of 'Realm Domination'. Our goal is now simpler:

We must devise a large army, and overcome every enemy we encounter.

Until that goal is finished we shall not rest or sleep. It is a Soldiers duty to fulfill this deed!

Divisions

A Division is a section or chapter of LSD. Each division is a different part of LSD in a certain game. At our current time, we have 3 Divisions (UO, EQII, and WoW). Each Division has their own Divisional Guild Master (DGM), and 2 Divisional Assistant Guild Masters (DAGM). The Grand Council, the Lord Avatar and the Elder Lord are the ones who maintain the whole guild. A member can be in several Divisions and not bound to one. This makes members having multiple ranks, where either the Grand Council or the High Council of a given realm will determine said member's rank in realms in which they are considered visitors. Since some realms have 'more' ranks in the guild structure than others, consideration will be given in respects to the accomplishments of a given member, should they request an official membership transfer to the new realm.

Duties of Members / Guild Laws

1. First and most important Rule for membership in LSD: Real Life comes First!!

2. You are to swear your Loyalty to the High Council, and its Leaders.

3. All problems that arise, involving member misconduct, should be reported to the Lord Avatar (GM), Elder Lord(AGM) or Abyssal Lord (DGM).

4. Below the GM all ranks must obey orders from a Superior Officer. (A superior Officer is any member, who is higher in the ranking system even if it is one rank above. If you think the order he gives you is unfair, please bring it up with a High Council member).

5. Give unnecessary items to the people that need them, weather they are a guild member or not (this helps build the Guild name).

6. Members should make it their duty to be on as much as possible since an inactive member isn't much of a member, nor one we would want in our guild.

7. All soldiers must report at least once a week to a commanding officer within their Realm.

8. You may not have another character in another guild. This causes confusion not only for the possible security of information of this guild, but more importantly the questioning of your time and dedication to this guild alone, and no others.

9. You should always conduct yourself in a mature manner in all forms of communication within the realm. This includes public and private channels.

10. Last, but not least, is to have fun in the Realms!!

Disciplinary Actions

When a Member is out of line, it may result in a Demotion, Expulsion, or just a probationary period. If a Member is reported to be doing something against Guild Rules, he will be put on a Probationary Period. During this Time, his Rank must be changed to "Civilian of The Realm" (Recruit in WoW). When the Truth is revealed, and the accused is cleared, or found to be deserving to remain a member of the guild, then the probationary period will be lifted, and ranks may be restored where applicable.

Description of the Ranks in the World of Warcraft Division

(In ascending order)

Recruit

(2 week Evaluation )

Those whom seek to become members of LSD MUST submit an application, including verifiable contact information. Applicants are also requested to register an account on our forums. This will enable us to contact you quicker if there is a question regarding your application. If accepted, you will be invited to the guild as a Recruit. You will be at this rank for 1 month, during which time, ALL full members (ranked Page and above) will evaluate your candidacy for full membership in LSD. Be certain to be in game during this initiation period and participate in guild events when possible in order to get to know current members.. THEY will be the ones that determine your acceptance as a full member. Keep in mind, however, that while we will attempt to accommodate the needs of our members and initiates, we are not a guild that will "Power Level" new members on a whim. You will also be requested to obtain certain “mod’s” including CTRaid, Group Calendar and Teamspeak. As mentioned before, we will attempt to aid newer members, but only to an extent. Those who do not attempt to aid themselves will soon find themselves seeking another guild.

Page

Once accepted into the guild as a full member, you become a Page of LSD. You have several duties at this point. First and foremost, you must learn the ways of the guild (including gaining a firm understanding of this charter.... the higher in rank you desire to gain, the more familiar you will be expected to be with it and our guild's history.) Second, it is your duty to assist any member who asks for it, within reason. Third, if you plan to seek advancement in rank, you should remain active in all possible guild functions, raids or events that you can, to further establish yourself as a solid member of LSD. Fourth, you should seek to prove your worthiness to all members of the guild. (we have been known to role-play within the guild as regular members in other realms.. don't be surprised if we do it here as well to ensure our members are truly representing themselves. ) Finally, once you feel you are capable of completing the requirements, you should seek out the members of Storm Seekers unit. These members are here to teach you the basics of your class as played in a group and our guild standards on etiquette in party, guild chat and standard looting practices.

Soldier

The rank of Soldier is granted to all Pages when the Capt and Lt. of Storm Seekers sends there approval to the High Council. This is the first of two stages of apprenticeship, designed to prepare you for the rank of Knight... a highly honorable and respected rank in the guild of LSD. At this point you are still responsible to the guild, first and foremost, but are also directly commanded by the Order of the Shield. As a Soldier, the OS will direct you in developing your skills of your chosen class. Your willingness and acceptance of these instructions will prove to the OS and their superiors that you are indeed a devoted member to the guild. Once the OS is convinced that you can fulfill the responsibility of your class in a group or raid and have reached lvl60, they will submit your name to the HC for possible promotion.

Lancer

The rank and role of a Lancer of LSD is an important and vital one. It represents to all members of the guild, both your superiors and those below your rank, that you have proven your dedication and loyalty to the guild. At this point, the OS will focus on the development of your skills and tactics with the focus of preparing you for, or advancing your skills in guild warfare(raiding), whether you prefer PvM or PvP. By this time, you should be developing your own strategies and educating newer members coming up in the guild. At the same time, you will be expected to display the ability to lead groups on your own as well as the continued willingness to help other members of the guild. You should be well-versed enough in the writings of this charter to be able to answer the questions of perspective LSD applicants (again.. you may be tested without your knowledge).

Once the OS believes you have met the requirements necessary for your advancement to the rank of Knight, they will post it on the Sponsorship board in your file. You may or may not be notified of your eligibility for promotion.

Knight

Knights are truly the heart of LSD. Each and every one of them have worked their way through the ranks to receive this honor. In NO realm is there a Knight of LSD that did not work his way up. Except in special circumstances, most people will not be recommended for this rank until they have shown their dedication and devotion to this guild for a period of no less than one year. It is a rank of prestige and honor, and indicates to all members a level of dedication and loyalty to the guild of LSD rarely presented to ANY other guild. As you already know.... "LSD is not a fly-by-night guild", and those who make it to the rank of Knight truly know the value of this statement. They have extensive knowledge and understanding of this guild's History and Charter, and a working knowledge of what is expected of each and every member. They are expected to defend the guild when called upon, and will rarely turn down the opportunity to do so. Knights are also expected to demonstrate leadership and initiative in forming guild groups and outings. The rank of Knight may also be given in special circumstances to members who have proven their leadership (Elder Council member) in other realms.

War Knight

Here are the die-hard members of the guild. They have demonstrated their loyalty to the guild, as well as exceptional skill and participation in guild events. A War Knight is a proven devoted member to the true mission of LSD. War Knights are expected to continue to fulfill all the requirements they have demonstrated thus far.

Finally, to be considered for promotion to Knight Master, a War Knight MUST show the ability and desire to lead other members and groups in mass, including commanding multiple groups in large scale events.

Knight Master

Knight Masters are the commanders of our forces. They are to be given the up-most respect by all members of the guild, as they have proven their loyalty in ways that may not be disclosed. Knight Masters are the front line of the guild's operations and activities. They are expected to organize large-scale events, both LSD-only and Multi-Guild, as well as small scale crawls and general member relations. It is their duty to resolve minor issues between members and non-members as well as help guide all members of the guild in any and all aspects of the game. Knight Masters are also expected to guide and direct the Knights of LSD in their duties. Additionally, they may call on the assistance of other Knights to assist in the completion of quests as well as make themselves available for similar assistance. They are the eyes and ears of the High Council and should be counted on to address problems that arise with efficiency and confidentiality where applicable. Should an issue arise that a Knight Master does not feel comfortable resolving, he will bring it to the High Council members. Knight Masters are also expected to relay to the High Council recognition of exceptional service and acts of notable honor or similar good behavior exhibited by any member. The rank of Knight Master may also be given to members who have shown their dedication through leadership (Grand Council Member) in other worlds this guild inhabits. Normally a person will have served this guild at least two years before being considered for this position, however special circumstances as well as showing loyalty and dedication above and beyond the call of duty may allow for an earlier promotion to this rank.

High Council Members

There are a total of six High Council Seats in the WoW division of LSD. Those that sit on the High Council are experienced members of the guild who have shown EXTREME devotion, loyalty and trustworthiness. Should an issue arise that the Knight Master can not resolve, a member of the High Council should be contacted without delay. It is the duty of the High Council members to maintain healthy member relations within the guild as well as ensure that member participation and activities are recognized and awarded / addressed in a timely manner. They are responsible for determining the appropriateness of submitted quests, tasks, and events for the entire guild. A member is promoted into the High Council only by the division's DGM and DAGMs by unanimous vote. Members of the High Council also have the ability to invite initiates into the guild, and so should be contacted when needed for such. If a member of the Storm Seekers is not available to perform an in-game interview, the High Council members may do so in their absence. Advancement from High Council to DAGM is by appointment by the Divisional GM or above, ONLY.

Divisional Assistant Guild Master (DAGM)

There can be only 2 DAGMs of the WoW division. Their duties involve anything and everything not covered in the charter, in respects to helping the DGM maintain the division. They are expected to handle volatile situations between members as well as help maintain good relations with other guilds of the realm. They have the Authority to promote members in the guild, as well as demote or remove them. Their duties involve observing and assisting guild activities of all kinds as well as monitoring the message boards and maintaining records regarding the progress of applicants and apprentices. The DAGMs also share the same sponsorship rights as Knight Masters.

Abyssal Lord / Divisional Guild Master (DGM)

The DGM is the leader of the division and has the authority to resolve all in-game issues that occur. They are responsible for maintaining a healthy balance of members throughout the ranks. It is also the DGM's responsibility to ensure that members do not abuse their rights and to encourage members to find a place in the guild that they are comfortable in. It is their job to propose changes to the guild structure when needed, and to promptly address anything else that arises that poses a threat or opportunity to the guild. The Lord Avatar is the only one able to appoint a DGM.

Elder Lord of LSD (AGM)

The Elder Lord is the right-hand man of the Lord Avatar, and second in power to him. He has been given powers from DeathWing, the great Dragon of LSD to help the guild's survival and maintenance. If the Lord Avatar should ever go on a Leave of Absense (LoA), either announced or un-announced, the Elder Lord shall run the guild in that absence. The Elder Lord doesn't have any set duties, but the Lord Avatar appoints him duties when needed at the time. The Elder Lord is not set to one realm. He is there to oversee events and relay them. There is only 1 Elder Lord, and he is chosen wisely for his years of devotion, dedication, and leadership skills by the Lord Avatar only.

Lord Avatar of LSD (GM)

The Lord Avatar, though the origins of his powers are vague, weather he got them from DeathWing, or from somewhere else, one thing remains. He is an awesome power of knowledge and strength. He brings Prestige and Fear into the surrounding people. The Lord Avatar is the Leader of the Entire Guild. He is there to make sure everything runs smoothly. They can count on him for his knowledge, wisdom, and great leadership abilities. The Lord Avatar exists in many realms, and is not set in any Division, but may or may not participate freely in that division if he so chooses to. He also develops the Charter and keeps an entire Guild Roster on every member of LSD. as well as being in charge of assigning Abyssal Lords to each new Division. Any member in the presence of the Lord Avatar should bow as lowly as possible, and give a "Hail Lord Avatar!" with great respect for him, for he is The Almighty. The Lord Avatar's position may only be filled when it is empty. It will only be empty when the Lord Avatar steps down from his position or the Grand Council is unanimous on its decision that the Lord Avatar can no longer perform his duties. There is 1 and 1 alone; Lord Avatar of LSD.

Description of the Sponsorship / Apprentice Program

Many members coming from other realms will recall the Sponsorship / Apprentice Program utilized in those realms to help your ascension to Knighthood. The world of Azeroth presents certain challenges in making this a reality here. Instead, the units of the Order of Shield and the Storm Seekers serve as “Sponsors” to all members on their journey. Tasks may be requested of apprentices by members of this division to prove their loyalty to the guild, but they are not necessarily a requirement as in other realms.

Councils

(In descending order)

Grand Council

This Council is the highest-ranking members in all games and all divisions. The Grand Council is for any Changes, or Amendments to the Charter. It comprises of the Lord Avatar, who is the "Judge" of the Council, the AGM, and the DGMs with their DAGMs from each Division. This is the only Council where the amount of members is not predetermined. The Grand Council gets larger and larger when the guild moves into more games. The way the proceedings go is the AGM has 7 votes, each DGM has 3 votes, and their DAGMs 1 vote. After the votes are tallied, the Lord Avatar has final say, in that he can Veto the plan if he disagrees with it. If there is to be another recall to voting, and if the rest of the GC is unanimous for the plan; the Lord Avatar must allow that plan to go through.

War Council|

This is the largest Council comprised of a combination of the Grand Council and the Elder Council. This Council is brought together when a Division wishes to declare war against another guild. The Lord Avatar rules the proceedings, and the War Council decides weather or not that Division should declare war on them depending if it has "Just Cause" or complies with alignment rules.*

High Council

The High Council is here for problems arising in a Division that needs voting on, or a way to speak of ideas the High Council has for its Division. The Council consists of 7 people. Each person has 1 vote except for the DGM. The DGM has 3 votes, which makes the total amount of votes 9. The GM (Lord Avatar) has no real vote but if he disagrees with it, the proposed law does not happen. The GM can be over-ruled only if the entire High Council disagrees. The GM or AGM may be present during any High Council meeting, and may state their opinion, but they don't have any votes in the High Council.

Elder Council

These are the members that might have originally founded this guild or are very old and well known members. They are either inactive or don't play much, but are part of the History of this guild. Their ranks may range from former High Council members, Grand Council Members, or even retired Lord Avatars. They are not subjugated by most LSD laws and regulations in regards to expected activity in the realms. All members look up to them for their wisdom, knowledge, views and Leadership.

*= The Alignment Rules mean that the opposing guild is of opposite alignment of ours.

Specialized Ranks

It is possible for any of these ranks to Remain Empty. Until one can complete the requirements, it shall remain unfulfilled. If another person desires the Position, then at the appointed time, there shall be a Guild vote on who shall be the bearer.

This is the Head of all the Bards. He is not necessarily the best Story-writer, but he can write good role-playing (RP) stories. Once the needs of the guild can be met, the Trade Master will be responsible for the development and training of further members in their respective trades in a fair manner.

The current trades that will be covered are as follows:

You cannot just be an Ambassador and not be assigned to a guild.

Specialized Units

After you have reached the rank of Lancer, you are eligible to join one of these Units. However, you are not required to join a unit until you reach the rank of Knight. If you do not choose the Unit yourself, the High Council shall choose for you at the time of your promotion to rank of Knight. Captains are chosen by the High Council. There may also be a Lieutenant, chosen by the unit's Captain, who is in 2nd Command of the Unit. The Captain must choose this person wisely. This person must be approved by a High Council vote and trusted and close friend of yours in LSD as well as a member of that Unit already.

Storm Seekers (SS)

These are the front line trainers of LSD. Their primary responsibility is to train the new members of the guild and follow through on the initiation of these members. Storm Seekers are required to have a 'more than average' understanding of the guild's charter and history for obvious reasons. They should be prepared to interview applicants referred to them by other members at any time, and be able to inform perspective members on the process of applying for membership as well as giving them an understanding of what will be expected of them. Following through includes posting notes regarding that interview in the Storm Seekers' topic area of our forums in the applicant's file. It is up to these members to bring to LSD the quality, responsible, and honorable members that make LSD what it is today, and will be tomorrow.

Order of the Shield (OS)

The OS are the members of the guild responsible for taking up where the Storm Seekers leave off. Once an initiate has obtained full membership, it is up to this unit to ensure that they learn the ropes of not only the game, but of how things work in the guild. They are the ones that help members get through elite quest lines, find the proper equipment they need, educate them on the ins and outs of their character's abilities, and guide them through the lands. OS members are what makes LSD a fun guild to be in, by providing new members with the opportunity to learn and grow in not only the game, but as members of our guild.

Serpent Riders (SR)

These are the Warriors of the guild. Dedicated to organized cooperation, this unit is the front-line of the guild. They may be called upon at a momments notice for battle, but are also expected to aid in rescue missions across the lands, by helping trapped members get out of hard-to-get-to places. It is the duty of SR members to be prepared to answer the call where ever they are, if needed. Serpent Riders are well equipped to handle nearly any situation tossed in their direction. Membership in this unit is typically reserved for the strongest and higher level members of the guild.

Darkness Elite (DE)

Best of the Best, First, Finest, and foremost in Player Combat. This unit is highly dedicated to PvP, and have exhibited exceptional skill in it. These are our Elite soldiers, given the name Darkness Elite by one of the "Founding Five" of the guild, 'Darkness'. He created the Darkness Elite and was the first Captain (an honorary title) of DE in NWN since he was the best in PvP in our Guild. Membership in this unit is exclusively "invitation only" by the current Captain of the unit. These are the finest our guild has to offer, and are the ones that train other members in Advanced Player Combat. It is a true honor to be a member of the Darkness Elite.

Trade Units

While only allowed in 1 non-trade Unit, members can also be in several Trade Units. All members in Specialized Units must be active ones. To join a trade unit, you must speak to the unit's Captain. If there are too many members in one Trade Unit, you might not get the luxury of getting into that Unit. There is no maximum amount of members for a Unit, but there must be some balance maintained, and in the early stages of the guild's development in the realm, focus will be put on very few members for each given craft. If the Guild grows large Enough and/or another purpose is needed, another Specialized Unit (either War or Trade Unit) may be made to fill the needs of the guild. There will be a unit for each of the "Trade Masters" listed above.

Raiding

The importance of raiding in WoW and the need to have rules set out to successfully complete end-game raiding which LSD is a part of, has required us to devote a whole seperate page just for raiding. Please use the links above to navigate to the individual raiding pages so you may better understand how we operate.
