d&d online came out a couple years ago, was a pay per month but failed so they went to the free to play and buy upgrade system - game still fails, but it's free...

i wouldnt go so far as to call it fail persay.

if you like instances that are in depth, have a lot of diff crap you have to do to complete them, are far more complicated than what WoW offers, then you may like DDO. DDO instances have a great amount of depth and complexity. Endgame instancing is bleh. But the group stuff is where the game really shines. If any of you try it out, get on Khyber server and message my bud Mehdik (alt is Longhair) and he'll take you into his guild Invicta. Just tell him you know Zak
I just got called a dirt-sucking ass-mage by a Cata npc.
