Greetings, and thank you for your interest in joining
the Lost Soldiers of Darkness (LSD):

Due to the planned development of the coming guildwide management site under construction,
confirmed registration on our guild's forums is a requisite for membership in this division. Please
register before completing this application. The process is automated, and only takes a couple
of minutes.

Before you fill out the following application, you should know a bit about our guild, it's origins, accomplishments and goals, and what is expected of you as a new member. Please read this introduction fully before continueing to the application.
*************
The Lost Soldiers of Darkness is a multi-realm association of Online Role-playiers / Gamers.
Our goal is to be a dominating force in any realm we occupy. Our mission to eachother and
others is to make the time spent in our guild and the realm it occupies as enjoyable as
possible through the assistance of it's members' vast store of knowledge, ability, resources
and most of all, through the strong bonds of friendship that we develope with eachother.
We are not a fly-by-night guild, as you will read shortly. Rather, we are a very well
organized association of players dedicated to something more than mearly slash'n'dash. If
accepted into our guild, you will soon discover that we are more a family than just a bunch
of people out to kill stuff. We work together to accomplish our goals, and expect nothing
less from new members.

LSD was founded over 8 years ago in the AOL-based realm of Never Winter Nights.. the
Original version. There we became one of the premier guilds of the realm and thrived until
its final days. When NWN closed, many of the members chose to stick together and keep the
guild alive, regardless of not having a realm to call home. Several realms where searched
and explored, including "The Realm" among others. However, we did not set our
roots again until the realm of Ultima Online became available.

Once it was decided that we would make a home of UO, we set our guild's charter and members
in motion. We laid claim to land on the Napa Valley server and cultivated our membership
there to rise in size and stature, maintaining a position in the top 10 guilds of the shard
for some time. We still occupy that realm with an active membership of highly dedicated and
loyal members.(at the time of this writing, our UO division is again in the top 10 listed
guilds on the Napa Valley shard of UO.)

During this time, we also began a division in Everquest. Once again, we rose in size and
stature to claim the honor of being one of the most recognized guilds on the Fennin Ro server,
with a member count of well over 100 individual members. When the designers of EQ failed to
maintain enough appeal to attrack new members and current members looked onward for more
attractive realms, our EQ division was closed.

When the realm of Dark Age of Camelot opened, it was a shock to our members, since no-one
was looking for it. Out of nowhere, it seemed, a new and fascinating realm of opportunity
was available. Many members migrated to this new realm and it was soon apparent that we
would need to form an official division there, which we did. For some time, our DAoC
division thrived and enjoyd the prestige of being in the top 10 guilds of the MLF-Hibernia
realm. However, as time went on, members and leaders of this division began to lose
interest in the game, and it was ultimately closed.

You are about to apply for one of the best organized and most firmly established guilds
available online. Should you prove to be a worthy member, your efforts and contributions to
our brother/sisterhood will be rewarded with a deep sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.

If you have not done so yet, I strongly urge you to read through the guild's History and
Charter, located on this site. The history will give you more detail of our guild's roots,
while the charter will give you a clearer idea of what to expect, and what will be expected
of you as a member of our guild, as well as what to do to get promoted through the ranks. Of
course, members will help answer your questions in game, if you have any.

As an Initiate, it will be your responsibility to try and get to know the other members of
the guild. With our size, it is not unheard of for a new member to go unnoticed when they
don't speak out in /gu. Don't be shy, but don't be obnoctious... after all, we're all here
to have fun, but this 'IS' a guild of responsible adults. It is these members who will vote
on whether or not you are allowed to become a full member of LSD.

Thank you.

Belzadar, Lord Avatar of LSD.
