Q: Which Server does LSD play on in WoW?

A: We play on the Stormrage Server.

Q: Which faction?

A: We are members of The Alliance (Humans, Dwarves, Night Elves and Gnomes).

Q: How can I join LSD?

A: If you've read the guild's Charter and History and are interested in joining LSD, you may do so by filling out our Application and Register on our Forums. We are a honorable mature guild, and thus look for like-minded people to join.

Q: How old is LSD?

A: The Lost Soldiers of Darkenss was founded January of 1997 in the original Never Winter Nights (NWN) on AOL.

Q: Who are the Founding 5?

A: The Founding 5 are the original 5 members who started LSD back in NWN. In addition to Abyss, the first Lord Avatar, there was Dragon our first DAGM, LSD Pyscho, LSD Eclips, and Darkness.

Q: What is a Lord Avatar?

A: Lord Avatar is our name for Guild Master (GM) in LSD. Guild Master being the leader of the entire guild. He oversees the Abyssal Lord's of each division and has final vote in the Grand Council.

Q: Who was the first Lord Avatar?

A: The first Lord Avatar was known as Abyss.

Q: Who is the current Lord Avatar?

A: Our current Lord Avatar is Belzadar (aka- Feeber).

Q: How many Lord Avatars have we had?

A: This is a tricky question... As stated, the 1st Lord Avatar was Abyss, followed by Lothar, then Taran, then Lothar again, Gorath, and lastly Belzadar. So technically 5, if you don't count Lothar twice.

Q: What's an Abyssal Lord?

A: Abyssal Lord is what we call a Divisional Guild Master (DGM). A Divisional Guild Master is in charge of the day-to-day operations of an entire Division. There is an Abyssal Lord for each Division who is in charge of the High Council which governs that Division.

Q: Who is the current Abyssal Lord for World of Warcraft?

A: Not only is Belzadar the Lord Avatar of LSD, but he is also currently the Abyssal Lord of WoW.

Q: What's a Division?

A: Divisions are what we call our different realms or games we play in. There is a Division for each game LSD is officially involved in.

Q: How many Divisions does LSD have?

A: LSD currently has 3 active Divisions. Those are - Ultima Online, Everquest II, and World of Warcraft.

Q: What other games has LSD been in besides the current Divisions?

A: As mentioned before, LSD started in the Original Neverwinter Nights, but we also had Divisions in The Realm, Everquest, Neverwinter Nights (by Bioware), Shadowbane and Dark Age of Camelot. They have since been disbanded, but our experience and memories and members from those games live on.

Q: Which Division is the oldest?

A: Our Ultima Online Division has been running since the game's inception in September of 1997. That would make it currently 7 years old.

Q: What's a Grand Council (GC) and what's a High Council (HC) and the difference between the two?

A: The Grand Council is run by the Lord Avatar & Elder Lord, and is comprised of a Divisional Guild Master (DGM) and Divisional Assistant Guild Master (DAGM) for each active Division. Because new Divisions open and old ones close, the size of the Grand Council can vary greatly with time. High Councils are run by the Abyssal Lords, and assist the Abyssal Lord in his daily activities. The difference between the two is that there is only one Grand Council, while there is a seperate High Council for each Division/Game.

Q: What's a Elder Lord?

A: An Elder Lord is the Assistant Guild Master (AGM) to the entire guild. Like a DAGM would assist an Abyssal Lord (DGM), the Elder Lord assists the Abyssal Lord in the running of all the Divisions and is the leader of the Elder Council.

Q: Who is the current Elder Lord (AGM)?

A: The current Elder Lord is Lothar.

Q: Wait a second, what's a Elder Council? I thought there was only a Grand Council and Elder Council.

A: Actually, there are a total of 4 councils in LSD. The Grand Council and High Council as stated previously, along with an Elder Council and a War Council. The Elder Council comprises of former Grand Council and High Council members who have since stepped down from their responsibilities but remain with the guild, whether active or in-active. The War Council is the largest of all the coucils and comprises of a combination of the Grand Council, and the Elder Council. The War Council is only summoned when a Division is considering warring a fellow guild. Not very often is this council summoned, nor is it always summoned to approve a war.

Q: Who wrote the LSD History?

A: The LSD History is a culmination of the experiences of the Lord Avatars. Although Part I is the exception. Part I being written by Darkness, Parts II, III, IV, V, and VI were written by Lothar, the 2nd Lord Avatar. Parts VII and VIII were written by Gorath our 4th Lord Avatar.

Q: When is the next Chapter of LSD History going to be released?

A: Gorath, before stepping down as Lord Avatar commissioned Lothar (the author with the most Chapters credited to his name as previously answered) to write the next installment. Lothar decided that since the last Chapter was not more than a paragraph long, would revise and extend Part VIII to include the last 3 years of LSD History not covered since Part VII. Yes, that means Lothar will have stolen a Chapter away from Gorath (sorry Gorath).

Q: This seems all very complex, but interesting. Where can I find out more information?

A: LSD is quite possibly the most unique guild in existence. Beacause of the extremely well thought out Charter that govern this guild, and the in-depth storyline that spans 9 years (and counting) of history, it makes it very complex. If you wish to know more about LSD, I suggest you read our Charter first, and if your still wanting more after that, there is always the History. As this is just a FAQ, a lot has been excluded to be a quick reference guide to those old members who wish to freshen up their LSD knowledge to impress the Elders, or for those people seeking a new guild to choose, but are hard pressed to make a decision which to choose. Considering choosing a guild is probably the most important decision you will ever make in the history of a MMORPG, choose wisely, and I hope if you are a player looking for your first guild, or this be your 7th or 8th guild, that this FAQ has helped you in your choice.
